Adult Religious Education
Spiritual Journey & Connections for a Lifetime
One of the principles of our faith speaks of the importance of a "free and responsible search for truth and meaning." We believe that this search for truth starts as soon as you can learn and think and continues throughout your entire lifetime.
We never stop exploring our changing beliefs. Some of the subjects we explore together:
- Different religious beliefs
- Spiritual development
- Anti-racism / anti-oppression
- Decision-making / Ethics
- Build character / Learn values
- Marriage / sexuality
- Socially-responsible investing
- Aging gracefully
- Death and the afterlife
Just as with our children's religious education, Unitarian Universalist adult religious education helps to give interested members the information and support necessary to find their own way along their spiritual path. From curricula on building a personal ethical code to meditation retreats to dinner discussion groups to Bible study classes, our congregations offer diverse and flexible opportunities for adults to advance their own spiritual journeys.
