Religious Education for Kids and All Ages
Lifelong learning - Welcoming all families
Our programs (traditionally called Sunday School) and communities teach children, including infants, preschool, elementary, and youth (besides adults) about how to face the dilemmas and choices of their everyday lives. We help them (and each other) make decisions about the people they want to become and the world they want to help create. We prepare them to build bridges, not walls as they grow up in our increasingly diverse and multicultural world.
Kids learn about all the great faith traditions, spirituality, the wonder of nature, ethical decision making, and living responsibly in the world (see about our social justice work & teachings).
Some of our curricula goals are:
* becoming our best selves / lived values / ethical development
* vital communities of justice and love
* making meaning and finding purpose (including dealing with death)
* love, faith, hope freedom, reason, tolerance (from the UU heritage)
* connecting to something larger / spiritual development
* building a safe environment for asking questions without judgement
There are no financial/payment requirements for visitors - come and learn what we're all about.
Additional Information:
We help kids grow. We do this in a safe place. Find support and build a community for your family.
We anchor our study with a commitment to justice, love, trust, anti-oppression, reason, and an open-mind and kind heart (see our principles, sources of wisdom, and service to others). Meet thoughtful, vibrant, knowledgeable people who will share their spiritual journey and personal experiences.
Good stuff for all of us to learn, on Sundays and everyday.
Our Religious Education Programs for children were referred in the past as is still considered by some as "Sunday School". Programs for adults and youth are often held on other days also.
Find a congregation for you and/or your children.
